Partnership / Relationship Spread:

The Partnership/Relationship Spread was specifically created for questions involving two people or parties. In many cases, there is still only one Querent, one person present and asking for guidance. This spread, however is still appropriate because it will portray each person’s role individually, while providing information and guidance specifically for the one asking.

Position 1 – Current State of the Querent   |   Position 2 – Current State of the Second Party

Positions 1 & 2 provide the current state: thoughts, emotions, or perspective/perception of each person individually. It might be how they perceive the relationship; it might be how they view the current situation or dynamic.

Position 3 – The Current State of the Partnership/Relationship Dynamic or Situation

The card in Position 3 describes the relationship dynamic that is being reviewed in the reading. This could relate to a specific question asked by the querent. It could also indicate what’s at play in the big picture. It might give insight as to the theme or purpose of the pairing, at present or in general.

Position 4 – What the Querent brings to the Situation   |   Position 5 – What the Second Party brings to the Situation

In every partnership/relationship, each person brings something to the mix. Positions 4 & 5 highlight what is contributed by each party as it pertains to the dynamic described in Position 3 and the question asked.

Position 6 – What lies Directly Ahead for the Partnership/Relationship

Typically, when one requests a reading about a partnership/relationship, there is information or guidance sought for a reason. There is likely something within the pairing that has not stabilized. Position 6 gives insight as to where the relationship is headed in the near future, or what is likely to bubble up for consideration by each party. As with all future portrayals, it may be probably, but it is not definite.

Position 7 – What can be Gained/Obtained by the Querent   |   Position 8 – What can be Gained/Obtained by the Second Party

Relationships exist in part to serve both parties. Sometimes we are not aware of what is available to us, what is being offered either directly or indirectly by the other party or the relationship as a whole. Positions 7 & 8 provides insight as to what is available for each partner.

Position 9 – Higher Potential or Outcome for the Relationship

Position 9 shows a higher potential for the relationship or dynamic. Position 9 could also hold guidance directing the Querent’s attention or focus. This outcome represents what can be reached, but only if both parties move towards it.
